Both doctors practice all phases of family and general dentistry. Their office utilizes new technologies in dentistry and the latest techniques. They attend continuing education courses regularly as does their staff. They utilize specialists in the community for levels of expertise they believe patients may sometimes require and will discuss these options if the need arises.
Dr. Michael R. Plage is a native of Wilmington and a graduate of John T. Hoggard High School. He attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for both his undergraduate degree in psychology and his DDS degree.
Dr. Plage is an Eagle Scout. His Eagle Scout project involved planning and implementing Wilmington’s first Mission of Mercy free dental clinic in 2004. He has volunteered at many free dental clinics around the state and is a member of both the North Carolina Dental Society and the American Dental Association.
Dr. Plage’s interests include running, surfing, snowboarding and watching all kinds of sports, especially the UNC Tarheels. He is married to Dr. Nataleigh Hitt Plage who is a practicing dentist for CommWell Health in Penderlea.
Dr. Eglinton was born in New Bern, NC. He attended North Carolina State University and graduated in 2009. In between undergraduate studies and dental school, he worked with the North Carolina Missions of Mercy Clinics as their Supply Coordinator. He was provided the opportunity to travel all around North Carolina staffing the clinics with 4 other individuals. He began dental school at East Carolina University School of Dental Medicine in 2012 and graduated in 2016. He then completed a 1-year AEGD program at the East Carolina School of Dental Medicine’s Elizabeth City campus and in 2017, moved to Wilmington with his wife, Patrice. Patrice is a Family Medicine Physician with New Hanover Regional Medical/Novant. He and Patrice have a 4-year-old golden retriever, Oskar. In their spare time, they enjoy taking Oskar places, including the many parks we have in Wilmington. They also enjoy traveling, hiking, and socializing with friends.
Susan is originally from Charleston, West Virginia, and moved to Wilmington with her family in 1985. She has two sons. Susan began working as a scheduling coordinator in orthodontics in 2011, then worked with foster children and families for a few years, and found her way back to a dental career. She enjoys watching college basketball and the NFL. Hobbies include reading, gardening, and spending time with her family and dog, Penny.
I’m the front desk coordinator with a passion for creating warm, welcoming first impressions. I’m currently studying at CFCC and loving the journey. When I’m not working or hitting the books, you’ll probably find me at the beach, spending time with my pup, checking out local sights, or singing along at a concert.
Selenia, originally from Kansas City, proudly proclaims “Chiefs Kingdom!” wherever she goes. As our Insurance and Treatment coordinators, she brings organization and heart to the team. A creative soul, she enjoys writing, decorating, and collecting antiques-but most of all she’s passionate about encouraging and loving others well.
Leah is our Office Manager, bringing over 10 years of experience in the dental field. Originally from Virginia, she served in the Navy for 6 years then graduated from the University of Mount Olive and has a passion for helping patients feel welcome and cared for. Outside the office, Leah is a proud soccer mom, a loyal Dallas Cowboys fan, and loves spending time at the beach.
Tracie was born in the mountains of southwest Virginia and earned her dental hygiene degree at East Tennessee State University in 1993. She and her family relocated from Johnson City, Tennessee to Wilmington in 2014. Tracie is a Tennessee Volunteer fan and enjoys boating, reading, traveling, and binging on new series. She and her husband, Shane, have been married since 2000 and they have a daughter, Tessa, and a golden doodle, Jasmine. Tracie’s favorite thing about being at Plage Dentistry is the camaraderie of the staff and the familial closeness with patients.
Mary was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland. She earned a B.S. degree in Dental Hygiene from the University of Maryland Dental School and has been practicing for over 20 years. She and her family relocated to Ocean Isle Beach together in 2005 and she started working at Plage Dentistry in 2011. Mary’s interests include boating, beaching, music, theater and reading. However, she most enjoys spending time with her daughter.
Monica is originally from Omaha, NE and recently moved to Wilmington with her husband Nick. Monica Graduated from Iowa Western Community College in 2013 with her Associates in Dental Hygiene. She practiced in both Nebraska and Colorado before moving to Wilmington. She has a cat named Tauriel and in her free time she likes to check out the restaurants around town.

Hello! My name is Brittany and I have done Dental assistanting for more then 3 years now. I am from the sunny state of California in Los Angeles. A couple of my hobbies are going on walks with my Siberian husky, trying new restaurants and enjoying the Wilmington area.
Sandy is from Greensboro, North Carolina. She attended Guilford Technical Community College where she earned her certification in dental assisting in 1972. She is our longest standing employee, having worked with Dr. Robert Plage for over 36 years. Sandy is blessed to have her wonderful sister and two brothers as well as all her friendly fur babies that she takes care of. She noted that her family, animals and working in the dental field is what brings her joy and keeps that jovial smile on her face every day.
Kerri is from a small town right outside of Wilmington, North Carolina. She and her husband have two children and a number of animals which she considers her “extended family”. In her free time, Kerri enjoys reading and spending time with her family. Her favorite part of working at Plage Dentistry is talking with her patients and being able to help meet their dental expectations. Kerri has been a certified dental assistant since August 1998 and started working with Dr. Robert Plage since December of 1998.
